Connecting to MetaServer fails with error “Proxy Authentication Required”

You try to connect to your MetaServer from the Admin or Operator Client and get the following error:

“The remote server returned an unexpected response: (407) Proxy Authentication Required.”

This is an indication that you make use of a Proxy server and your MetaServer URL is not automatically detected as a local IP address by the Proxy server.

For the clients to be able to connect to MetaServer, you need to bypass the proxy server.

Solution:

Step 1: Open “Internet Options”, go to the “Connections” tab and open “LAN settings”.

Step 2: Enable the “Bypass proxy server for local addresses” option.

Press OK and try connecting to MetaServer again.

If the connection still fails, please follow the steps below.

Extra troubleshooting:

Step 1) Open “Internet Options”, go to the “Connections” tab and open “LAN settings”.

Step 2: Select “Advanced” and type the appropriate information in the Exceptions area.

Press OK and try connecting to MetaServer again.
