260 MetaServer Queues
Use the Queues tab to analyze the workload of the server in detail at document level. You can view, delete and prioritize documents to move them in front of the queue.
Select one more more workflows to filter the document list. Only the errors related to the selected workflows will be listed.
The icon turns red if not all workflows are selected to clearly indicate that not all documents will be listed.
Delete Document(s) (Ctrl+D)
If you want to delete documents from the list, select one or more documents and press the Delete Document button or press Ctrl+D.
MetaServer works on a first in first out basis.
If you have a heavily loaded MetaServer processing thousands of documents per day it may take a while before the last imported document gets processed.
You may want to move one or more urgent documents to the top of the queue so they get processed first.
If the selected document has multiple pages, the page navigation buttons are active. You can also use the Page Up and Page Down keys to page through the document
Refresh Document(s) (F5)
While you are managing documents, you can select one or more documents and force a refresh of their properties and status by pressing the Refresh Document(s) button or by pressing the F5 key.
If documents have left MetaServer in the meantime, they will disappear from the list.
Load Oldest / Youngest Documents
Depending on what you are looking for you may be more interested in recently imported documents (youngest) or documents imported longer ago (oldest).
Because of MetaServer’s First In First Out concept, older documents are closer to being exported and will leave MetaServer sooner (retired documents) while younger documents will take longer before they get exported because at the end of the waiting line with many more documents before them.
Load All documents
You can force a load of all documents in the queue by pressing the Load All button.
Be aware that on a heavily loaded MetaServer, the queue can potentially contain thousands of documents and loading the whole queue can take a considerable amount of time.
A system can contain several MetaServers. Select the MetaServer you want to work with.
If the MetaServer is not on the same domain as the client, you can enter the server’s URL manually by pressing the arrow under the icon and by selecting “Select by URL”.
You can find the correct URL by opening this setup window on the server. Click on the image to enlarge.
The left panel shows a list of all documents of the selected workflows.
The columns indicate:
– What workflow each document belongs to
– When the documents were created
– The full path and the original file name of the imported document
– The last applied action
– The last operator and station used for validating or organizing the document
– If the document was part of a document set*: Yes / No
Error documents are not listed here. Select the Errors tab to manage these documents.
* A document set originates from a single PDF file containing multiple documents that has been separated in multiple documents using separation rules or using the Organizer.
The center panel displays the document. You can page through the document if it has multiple pages.
You can double click on any of the properties and copy the content to share it through email or through our support form.
The right panel lists all properties of the selected document:
– The link to the original document: Press the link to open the document in the associated viewer. The link actually opens a copy of the document to avoid conflict. It carries its original import name.
– The link to the original document set (if any): Press the link to open the document set containing the document in the associated viewer. The link actually opens a copy of the document set to avoid conflict. It carries its original import name.
– The action history: All the actions the document passed through.
– Field values: Browse towards the bottom of the list to see the field values
