CaptureBites in Infosource's 2026 Capture & IDP Vendor Matrix Report

We are proud to share that CaptureBites has been featured in the 2026 edition of the Infosource Capture & IDP Vendor Matrix Report, which evaluates more than 25 leading independent software vendors across the intelligent document processing (IDP) landscape. Infosource sizes the global Capture & IDP market at roughly $9 billion, with EMEA and North America together representing the large majority of that revenue.

The report describes MetaServer as a server-based IDP product built for the small and mid-market, with a no-code configuration UI that lets business users handle document import, sorting, classification, extraction, conversion and export of key metadata without programming skills. Analysts highlighted how the platform combines third-party OCR/ICR engines with AI applied where it really matters, keeping automation practical and cost-effective rather than AI for using it as a buzzword.

CaptureBites offers connectors for Tungsten Capture and Express, while also standing out as a lower-overhead alternative for enterprises looking to migrate towards an IDP solution that's easier to set up, easier to use and more cost-friendly.

Three areas stood out in the evaluation:

  • A clear SMB focus.

While much of the market chases large enterprise deployments, CaptureBites' mission to bring IDP downstream to smaller and medium sized businesses was noted as a genuine point of differentiation, paired with a perpetual licensing model that helps organizations with fluctuating volumes manage costs predictably.

  • A 100% channel partner strategy.

Infosource pointed out how rare a fully partner-driven go-to-market is today, and how it helps a vendor of CaptureBites' size extend trusted service across a wide geography.

  • A no-code UI built for automation.

MetaServer's configuration was recognized as enabling business users, not just developers, to build and test document and workflow automation themselves.

The report also flagged two areas for CaptureBites to keep developing: expanding beyond its current on-prem/private cloud deployment model toward a broader SaaS offering and diversifying its recognition technology options beyond its primary reliance on Azure Document Intelligence, particularly for its largely on-premises customer base.

These are indeed 2 areas where we are currently investing time and effort in for future development.

When Infosource published its 2026 Capture & IDP Vendor Matrix Report, one placement stood out to us in particular: CaptureBites, named among the Competitors. It's an acknowledgment that the product, the technology and our partnerships have reached a level of maturity that puts CaptureBites in the same conversation as far larger vendors in the space.

Competitors quadrant is where market traction meets momentum. It's populated by vendors who've already proven themselves in the market and are now in a race to sharpen their vision and accelerate innovation fast enough to climb higher. Being placed there isn't a ceiling, it's a checkpoint. It tells us where we stand today and, more importantly, what it will take to move up.

For CaptureBites, that's exactly the mindset going into this next stretch. Being named a Competitor isn't the story's end, it's the chapter where the pace picks up.
Our focus will go broader with more product development and crossing borders to other continents. We are just getting started!

Infosource's overall outlook affirmed the direction CaptureBites is heading: a strong and growing European footprint, a well-positioned SMB strategy and an experienced leadership team positioned to execute on it. The firm also noted CaptureBites is actively ramping up its marketing efforts, including thought leadership and content distribution, to match the pace of its product roadmap.

Looking further out, CaptureBites' own five-year vision centers on a subscription-based cloud model that puts IDP within reach of even the smallest businesses, alongside careful integration of next-generation AI models and growing customer demand for on-premises AI processing options.

We see this recognition as validation of a strategy we've been executing deliberately: make powerful document automation accessible to businesses that enterprise-first IDP vendors tend to overlook.
